Another visa is the Electronic Travel Authority subclass 601. With this visa you can undertake business visitor activities (and have a holiday) and stay up to 3 months. It is free of charge, but involves an online application service charge of AUD20. You have to hold a passport from particular countries (Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR of China), Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, Republic of San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States of America, Vatican City).

If you don't have a passport of any of these countries, you will need the Business Visitor Stream subclass 600 visa. With this visa you can make general business and take part in a conference and stay up to 3 months. It costs AUD145.

From Overseas

Adelaide is well served by a moderate number of direct international flights each week, with carriers including China Southern Airlines, Air New Zealand, Malaysian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qatar, and Emirates. Please see the "International" section on this page for more information.

Departure locations for these flights include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Auckland, Dubai, Doha, Guangzhou and Denpasar.

For general information on international arrivals at Adelaide, please see the "International Arrivals" section of this page.

Adelaide's international (and domestic) air terminal is located about 7km west of the University and, depending on the time of day, travel time from the airport to the city can be as short as around 15 minutes.

There is a managed taxi rank just outside the airport terminal. More information on airport-city travel options may be found here.

From Elsewhere in Australia

Adelaide's international and domestic termini share the same building, so comments as to airport-city transfer mentioned above apply also to domestic flights into/from Adelaide.

Please see the "Domestic" section on this page for more information on which carriers operate domestic flights to/from Adelaide.
