        • Piping corsika output into more than 3 simtel_array is not efficient because Corsika allocates only 1 CPU core, while 3 simtel_array's (on 3 cores each) are waiting for input basically idle. Moreover, simtel_array allocates ~1 GB of memory, cannot run more than 3 because of that.
        • We will soon call for a meeting in cta-wp-ccf-atmosim@cta-observatory.org, to organize the required MODTRAN tables by Johan.
        • The -DEXTRACLOUD option seems to be an efficient solution for the clouds only.
        • A full proton simulation setup for CTC  is available by Stan Stefanik, he will provide all his input to Johan
        • Johan asks for a person running basic tests on first output. That person should ask Konrad for help (but also Johan is avaiable)

Status of EoIs and plans for In-kind-contributions 30m
Speaker: Markus Gaug (UAB Barcelona, Spain)

        Array calibration:

        Instrumentation:

Illuminator:    full IKC from INAF, but need to be updated for current number of devices

UAV:    should be part of a larger IKC, but cannot be incorporated in INAF IKC.

        Methods and Software:

Should be a global package, led by some coordinating institute, but the rest are "small" contributions, Before, the relation between A&S WG and CTAO must be legally clarified. (Might be an IKC from CTAC)

        Atmospheric Calibration:

        Site Characterization:

        a) Acquired data that can be "transferred" to CTAO wihtout any IKC

        b) Certain data products want to be an IKC: ARCADE, existing photometer not, but perhaps a new one for CTA-N

        c) Spftware not included so far in EoI

        Dynamic Scheduling:

ASC+ Ceilometer: IKC of AS-CR, EoI needs be updated for ASC w.r.t. dyn. scheduling

Software: Should at least be led by AS-CR

        Atmospheric Corrections:

FRAM+CTC: EoI of AS-CR, check whether 3 are included in EoI

LIDAR: 2 EoI's, but one inofficial from CEILAP

Software: Can AS-CR lead this part ?? (discuss with Michael Prouza)

        Weather monitoring:

        CTA-Spain:   full IKC for CTA-N + software for CTA-S

Hadrware for CTA-S: directly pruchase by CTAO ???

UVScope: IKC of ASTRI, should one UVScope be included for CTA-N? (Support of the Illuminator)

      • 10:00
CTA-N infrastructure for CCF equipment 20m
        Speaker: Carla Crovari
        • Markus will send an updated excel spreadsheet for infrastructure questions to the corresponding parties.
        • CTA-N phase 2 will probably need 3-4 years (e.g. the technical building probably complete in 2021)
        • Infrastructure is probably ready in Q2 of 2019
        • CTAO will produce all foundations at once
        • There is a parallel session dedicated to INFRA @ CTA-N on Tuesday afternoon, during the general meeting, also a visit to ORM is foreseen
        • Dusan comments on the need to have soon reliable power and internet connection in CTA-S, also maintenance of instruments is difficult
        • Plans are to use intially a power generator, however nothing major is expected to happen before 1-1.5 years from now.
